This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come in every day full of questions, wondering what the day will bring to them. They love learning new things and revisiting old skills until they can master them. As their teacher, I love to see that "aha" moment happen within them.

My students have a lot to worry about, and having the necessary supplies should not be something a fifth-grader has to worry about.

All students receive free lunch at our school. Seeing my students have the opportunity to be fifth grade learners helps remind them that they can be successful.

My Project

My students have enjoyed being back in person this year. They love sitting in the classroom with everyone and not in front of a computer all day.

With Covid, we are working on continuing to stay healthy.

Many students come in with masks that don’t fit correctly or that break throughout the day. I want to up my supply of masks so students have them available in the classroom if needed. The sanitizing wipes will be useful when students cannot wash their hands to keep out during meal times in the classroom.
