Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students will be taking the California standardized test(STAR) for the first time.

I have 20 second graders eager to learn each and every day.

The majority of my students are English language learners. Our school is in a low performing district and in a high needs community. Our school district is now a program improvement district.

My Project

I am requesting materials that will help my students prepare for the California standardized test coming up. These activities are hands on games that focus on second grade standards. They will be a fun way to introduce and review standards or skills needed for the BIG test in April.

The resources I am requesting will help my students to better understand second grade concepts and skills needed come test time in a fun way.

These are the kinds of activities that are of interest to students, especially ones that are struggling.
