Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In a recent study, experts concluded that 10 million kids are total ‘couch potatoes' -reporting no physical activity in over one year! Our school is ready to change that with the creation of our Cohasset Morning Mileage Club. With the Fitness Finders mileage club kit, and an adorable Bee Mascot, we can get our students up and running before the first bell.

Studies show that a short burst of exercise before starting the school day improves students' academic performance, mental health, and behavior throughout the school day.

Instead of lazily waiting in line for over half an hour each morning, our students will be encouraged to get up and run, walk or skip their way around our running track. The Fitness Finders program will let them scan a QR code each time they complete a lap, and they will earn awards for every mile they complete! Our Cohasset Bee mascot will cheer them on and hand out "Toe Tokens when they complete 1,5 and 10 miles!

This project will help our whole school community! Help our First through Fifth grade students START THE DAY RIGHT by contributing to this exciting project!
