Starting Strong: Classroom Supplies for a Successful Fourth Grade Year

Help me give my students essential classroom supplies needed to start the school year strong.

My Project

As a fourth-grade ELA teacher, I have the privilege of welcoming a new group of eager learners each year. My students come in excited, curious, and ready to grow—but many also arrive without the basic supplies they need to feel confident and prepared. By the end of each school year, our classroom supplies are completely worn down or used up. Pencils are tiny, crayons are broken, glue sticks are gone, and notebooks are filled. As I prepare for the upcoming school year, I want to ensure that every single student walks into our classroom on the first day with everything they need to succeed—no stress, no embarrassment, and no barriers to learning.

This project will help replenish essential classroom supplies so that all students start the year equally prepared.

These supplies will allow us to jump right into learning from day one. Having these supplies ready for Orientation Night in August will also help families feel supported and reassured.

In our ELA classroom, supplies are more than just materials—they are tools that build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging. When students don’t have to worry about whether they have a pencil or paper, they can focus on what truly matters: learning, growing, and believing in themselves.

Your support will help create a welcoming and prepared environment where every child can start strong and stay focused all year long.
