My Project

What is the ideal way start your day? Do you enjoy a relaxing shower, a morning coffee, or possibly exercising? Many students are rushed to get to school or sit on a loud, crowded bus, and then come in to school and have to start work right away.

I am requesting materials to implement a soft start time to the beginning of my students’ school day.

These materials will allow my students the opportunity to forget about the morning prior to school and get ready for the challenging academic day. Soft starts allow students to ease into the school day while connecting to their classmates as they begin their day.

A soft start has numerous benefits to the students. Students use creative thinking, work collaboratively to solve problems, and build perseverance all while having choice in what they are working on. One of the biggest benefits is that students have the ability to make mistakes without being corrected while they modify and learn from their activities with their classmates.
