This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

How many full elementary bands have you ever heard? I am helping my students develop the only elementary band in our county at an urban, low-income school, and we need a quality stand to hold our bass drum!

The desire that my kids show for learning to play instruments is nothing short of amazing!

We are creating history each day! Our community has embraced us as we work on developing a program that all of our children will be proud of for many years to come.

My Project

As our program continues to flourish, we find ourselves in need of more equipment to fill out our band. My students are eager and willing to do whatever it takes to make our band sound the best that we can. Although our students are highly engaged and eager to progress, quality instruments and supplies are hard to come by due to their high price. We are in need of a new bass drum stand to help keep our bass drum safe while we perform.

My students love to play their instruments, but more importantly, they enjoy learning to play them.

I am beyond proud of everything my students do to brighten their futures each day, and I want to do everything possible to make sure that they will continue to do so! Thank you for your consideration!
