These materials give my students more opportunities to explore colors, experiment with different painting techniques, express their creativity, and strengthen their fine motor skills. The Smart Snacks Alpha Pops will also support hands-on alphabet activities, helping children connect letters with early literacy learning in an interactive way. \r\n\r\nThe new feelings chart and liquid motion bubblers will support our social-emotional learning activities by helping children recognize emotions, discuss how they feel, and practice calming strategies when they need support. We were able to purchase 3 new flutes for our elementary band program, this allowed children to participate in band this year who would not have been able to without your kindness! Two of the students are beginners and so far they have successfully learned how to put the flutes together, clean them, properly maintain them, they learned proper names of the instrument parts, how to make a sound and we just played our first real song! One of the students is an advanced player whose personal instrument needed such extensive repairs that the parent was not able to afford it. This student loves his flute so much and is preparing to audition for one of our district wide band events and is doing absolutely amazing! The difference in his playing with the new flute is night and day!\r\n My students were so excited when they received their new flutes! They were grinning so big, they were even telling other teachers about how happy they were! This will create cherished memories for a lifetime! \r\n As far as next steps, we are chugging along and learning new notes and rhythms every single day in order to prepare for our upcoming hallway Christmas instrument caroling and our concert as well as several district and county wide events.
