We are playing the letter game, on a weekly basis. When I first introduced the letter launch game, the students were very excited watch the letter tokens fly out of the launcher. Many of my students are matching the upper case to upper case letters and some are identifying some of the letters they see.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials they were excited to see new materials in the classroom. The students loved exploring the letter hunt game and picking out letters with the tweezers! The students also loved playing the letter launch game in small groups. They are all excited to load the letters, launch the letters and help each other find the letters on their corresponding cards.\r\n\r\nAs my students grow and progress throughout the school year, we will introduce more challenging literacy games. We have several games that including phonemic awareness, rhyming words and writing. The reluctant students are eager to participate. It does not require a lot of space. No longer do I have to replace dry erase markers and erasers. The boogie boards are eco-friendly. The boards can be used in all subject areas. \r\nMy students also enjoy using the boards during center times. They have doodle competions.
