This project will enhance my students' test scores, as well as build their self-confidence throughout the school year. My hope is that these reading activities will increase their fluency and build upon their vocabulary through exploration. Having these effective literacy centers can also increase my students’ motivation to read. These stations will reinforce strategies and skills that I have taught. The resources will be used as an additional tool to increase the fluency of reading in the class. My students need big books to help them increase their retelling and sequencing skills. Big books will also increase the connections from the books to the real world. In the Building Vocabulary Listening Center my students can take learning into their own hands. This center will also be essential for my ESL students as it provides more vocabulary. Your donation will increase the rigor of reading readiness in my classroom of Future Readers which will be our Future World Leaders. Children need the freedom to appreciate the infinite resources of centers... Kindergarten is a time when our future little leaders begin to explore the elements of literacy. These future leaders need a vast variety of enriched print concepts to expose them to the world around them, which they lack due to economical resources.
