This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am in my tenth year of teaching, and I have never had such a lively bunch of fifth graders! They are naturally inquisitive and engage in diverse topics throughout the day. My fifth graders are creative and innovative and love to be challenged daily. They enjoy using technology because it allows them to take charge of their own learning.
Particularly my students attend a Public Title I School where all students receive free breakfast and lunch each day as a result of being a 100% CEP school.
We are a military-connected school and are located near a major military base. My 25 students may be at a disadvantage economically, but they are determined to make the best of what they have! Our classroom environment is one that is conducive to learning, where my students are engaged, motivated, and actively learning. There is never a dull moment in fifth grade!
Thank you for supporting such a unique bunch of students who strive to be the best that they can be!
My Project
We've had an active year and have enjoyed all the generous donations that have been sent to us. However, it seems a few of the items have taken a beating.
We're requesting some replacement items from our previous projects and have items to help us celebrate our hard work.
From our previous projects, we need to restock our dry erase markers for showing our learning, a large portable dry erase board for group collaborations and some camping chairs for flexible seating. To celebrate our hard work, some trinkets for our treasure box would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for supporting us!
