I am requesting one touchscreen Lenovo Chromebook so my tech-savvy 5th graders can conduct research each day. My inquisitive learners are interested in researching more ways to save the planet and preserve our environment. Specifically, in science, we learn about biodomes and different areas of the earth that are being depleted due to earth pollution and harmful fumes that are being emitted each day. With this chrome book, my students will research an investigate ways that we can save the earth through school gardens, recycling so we all can reduce, reuse and recycle. We are working towards being a classroom that is 1 to 1 with technology and this Chromebook will help me be one step closer to this goal. Our students use a variety of digital resources and will be able to learn by navigating through National Geographic and using google classroom to compile all of their data and research. As I work towards the end of the school year it is my goal to give my 5th graders the technological tools they need to be successful and this Chromebook will bridge the gap and help my future Environmentalist learn new innovative ways to diminish the negative human footprint that we are currently leaving on our world. To my future donors thank you for supporting the needs of my Environmentalist one Chromebook at a time!
