Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are seeking your help to acquire blenders and essential tools that will enhance our students' understanding of nutrition, creativity, and teamwork.

This project is aimed at promoting healthy eating habits and spreading random acts of kindness throughout the school.

Our school community will see how food is grown with our hydroponics tower garden and then transferred onto their plate where they get to eat and drink their creations. They can make different types of smoothies with the blenders after they plant and harvest leafy greens. The ice cream makers will be used to teach our students why you can eat ice cream in moderation daily because it is a great source of vitamins. Students will also have the opportunity to watch how a liquid changes into a solid. We will keep the ice cream cold in the freezer. Students will be making smoothies and ice cream for our school community. Activities about compassion can help cultivate an emotionally safe environment and ease the way students are feeling. It also teaches valuable lessons about empathy, generosity, and helping others.
