Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My combination of kindergartners and first grade class are all experience real school for the first time! They all have different needs which require them to be in my special day class for 90% of the day. They are all so excited to learn and finally be in school.

My Project

The students in my classroom are unique in the sense that they learn differently than others. My diverse group of students is learning with Autism and learning disabilities. I want to support their learning by providing them with the tools necessary to become amazing scholars.This classroom learns differently, which means I have to adjust my curriculum to be more accessible to them. Help me by donating to ensure my students can learn with all the tools at their hands.

These supplies will help students engage in art, literacy, math, sensory-motor activities to help develop their skills.

With your donations, students will be able to play, write, create, and be involved in classroom lessons and activities. All these supplies will help my student develop socio-emotional, mathematical, reading, and phonetic skills. They contribute to the many lessons we will engage with throughout the year.

The folders, laminating sheets, and sheet projectors will help support our students in learning days of the week, colors, shapes, numbers and letters as we create folders for each category.

The water colors, markers, and scissors will help our students engage in art that grows their fine motor skills and expands their art skills.

The stuffed animals will go to our calm corner to provide comfort to our students when they are feeling overwhelmed, sad, or just need a breather. This goes hand in hand with the Little Spot of Emotion books and plushies which will show our students what emotions look like and how to manage their emotions.

The Phonics curriculum will support me in providing students with skills and lessons to make them great leaders.
