My Project

I am a speech and language pathologist working with students grades 1-8 in CT. Currently, I service over 40 students for speech and language students including an ABA classroom (Applied Behavioral Analysis- children with Autism) (with nonverbal and minimal verbal or using AAC device) students. As of recently I have had new students coming to me with no assistance with their communication (no devices or communication boards) and am finding myself needed so many materials to use in play based therapy communication with these students. With this list of materials I will be able to try and elicit spontaneous language through play and continue to help my students communicate and be successful in a school environment.
