Speech And Language Through Books

My students need 1 copy of 10 popular children's books, such as "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," etc.

These materials will help students that are receiving special education services in a rural elementary school. They have been identified with speech and/or language impairments.

I have been using my own children's books from when they were young. The books are worn and tattered, and I only have a few of the titles that are needed. I want to purchase all the books that are required by the curriculum and save my personal books before they fall apart completely. There is just no room in my budget for brand new books.

These books will teach the students speech and language concepts in a way that is exciting for them. The kids are interested in stories and are able to learn from narratives. My students often have a difficult time in the general education classroom and, with these books, I can review the stories and practice the students' skills so that they can better participate back in their classrooms.

Because of you, my students will learn speech and language concepts to increase their classroom participation and to improve their interactions with peers.
