This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Speech/Language Pathologist, providing engaging materials during speech therapy sessions is essential to captivate my students and scaffold their learning to address their individual speech and language goals. Hands-on, multi-modality learning that incorporates thematic, literacy-based therapy with visual and performing arts, is a great way to address communication skills!

My students absolutely love thematic therapy and the fun, interactive materials that go along with each topic!

Thematic lessons engage and support my diverse learners. Including visual art projects such as simple crafts, and performing arts, such as puppets, provides motivating learning opportunities that engage my speech and language learners. The crafts, books, games, and activities included in this project will allow us to explore a spectacular safari theme to support the arts as well as literacy, articulation, language, and social skills.
