Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my classroom of students with special needs! I have a class of small humans with HUGE needs. All of their little bodies need a lot of things to help keep them regulated and ready to learn! Big items that help them expend their energy and meet their sensory needs are difficult to acquire in a classroom for so many reasons. Activities like jumping and spinning help stimulate the vestibular system and improve processing abilities. Weighted and enclosed spaces help proprioceptive input for calming and focusing. The items on my list are some of the wildest things I could dream of having in my classroom to help my students. However, I know beyond a doubt that they WOULD help.
