They all had the opportunity to browse through them, and the excitement in the classroom was wonderful to see. These books will be a fantastic addition to our classroom library and will support our third-grade curriculum for the remainder of this school year and into next year.\r\n\r\nMany of the books will be used as engaging read-alouds to support our curriculum lessons. For example, we are currently learning about mysterious creatures, and we plan to use How to Catch a Yeti as a fun and engaging read-aloud to introduce a lesson. The books will also be used during independent and buddy reading time, when students work with partners to read books that interest them. The Yeti Files series has already proven to be very engaging, and the reading level is perfect for our third-grade students.\r\n\r\nOur students are highly engaged in the topics we are studying, especially our current unit on mysterious creatures. They were especially excited to learn more about the Legend of the Loch Ness Monster after recently reading an article about it. During the lesson, students had to locate evidence of the mysterious creature and determine whether the evidence was visual or physical. They then evaluated whether the evidence was strong enough to prove that the creature might exist. The students were extremely engaged in this investigation, and your donated books will help extend their curiosity and learning even further.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for supporting our classroom readers and thinkers. The therapy putty helped our students strengthen their little hand muscles as they stretched, pulled, and searched for hidden beads. The loop scissors made cutting activities more accessible, allowing even our most hesitant learners to experience success and build confidence.\r\nThese tools supported meaningful learning in so many ways. We used them during art projects, in our sensory center, and during small-group activities to practice cutting, squeezing, rolling, and shaping. Children who typically struggle with scratchy materials or feeling cold were able to enjoy outdoor play, transitions, and classroom activities with greater ease. The outdoor balls have brought an added element of fun and teamwork, as students come together to play games and challenge each other in friendly competition. The chalk has sparked creative expression as children draw their favorite scenes, games, and even hopscotch courts, bringing an artistic touch to their playtime. The skip-hop toys have provided hours of active fun, encouraging children to jump, hop, and develop important physical coordination skills.
