I have 11 students with severe special needs. Due to their limitations, my students need special instruction in academics, communication, fine motor and social skills. to provide them with this instruction, I create most of the materials my students need. My classroom is in need of 951 ink, laminating sheets and spiral bindings so I can print pages and create workbooks for my students to use. I have found, that the commercial workbooks available are not able to meet their needs as they require too much communication or fine motor skills to teach academics.
My Project
I have 11 wonderful students who are excited to learn and grow in a variety of ways. To better meet their needs I have found that customized workbooks work best. Each year I look at the needs of each student and make personalized workbooks for them. I focus on what they need to learn and what they are able to do. From this information I determine how best to construct their particular book. Throughout the year as their skills increase I change the books to meet their changing needs. To create these books I need ink for my printer, laminating sheets to make the pages and spiral binding to put the books together.
