Spanish Books for Our Classroom Library

My Project
Over the years I have had several students who are bilingual or emerging English speakers. This year I have a few students who have made leaps and bounds in learning a new language. However, I have noticed that during Silent Reading time the students go for picture books or books with little or no words at all.
I would love to give them a section in my classroom library that has a variety of books, ranging from picture books to chapter books, for them to choose from. This will also give my students who are not bilingual a chance to explore and learn from these books.
My ELL (English Language Learning) students also deserve to feel represented, valued and loved while they are in my room. I easily have close to a hundred books in English and none in Spanish- with help, I will be able to change that. Over the years I have had 26-30 ELL's in my classroom and with these books I will be able to support reading for many more in the years to come.
