My Students

The students at Big Shanty are a very diverse group. Students come from all different back grounds socio-economic backgrounds. Our school is Advanced ED STEM certified, but we are continuing to expand our available technology resources.

My students love music and I am always looking for new ways to connect them to music creation.

Technology is a fun way to make connections!

My Project

Specdrums are app-connected rings that make your world more musical. Tap a color, hear a sound. Launch a themed sound pack in the app to DJ anywhere, anytime, or tap the rings to hear words, numbers, and sound effects, or record custom audio in the app.

Using Specdrums, my students will be able to compose personal music without limits.

This music can be saved and shared for a lifetime. The creativity my students will be able to explore and express will help them in all areas, not just the music classroom.
