This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a Title I district, meaning a 99.8% of our students come from economically disadvantaged homes and are minorities. A majority of our students are performing below grade level. These students are incredibly hardworking and deserve all opportunities to grow their knowledge and abilities.

My goal is to provide the best resources for each student to succeed and reach their full potential.

Each of our students deserves to learn and grow in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Our students are facing many challenges with learning this year. My 48 students are ranging in abilities with reading and writing.

My Project

This school year, all our students are back on campus learning face to face. Each student has their own computer which is great for online interventions, assignments and now all testing is done online. My campus has given each teacher 10 headphones. I have 24 students in both of my classes. A majority of my students need headphones due to accommodations on their 504 or IEPs.

Headphones allow students to focus on their work and learning without hearing the distractions from other computers.

Students use their computers for watching educational videos, oral administration, and reading books online; all things that would be better with headphones!
