We are using these stoles as part of our end-of-year promotion ceremony to recognize the hard work, growth, and perseverance students have shown throughout elementary school. As we prepare for the ceremony, students have been talking about what moving on to middle school means and reflecting on their accomplishments from this year.\r\nWhen my students first saw the stoles, their reactions were priceless. Many of them immediately smiled and started imagining themselves wearing them at the ceremony. Several students said it made them feel \"official\" and proud of how far they've come. For many of my students, this will be the first time they participate in a celebration like this, and having their own stole makes the moment feel even more special and memorable.\r\nOne meaningful classroom moment happened when we began a reflection activity where students wrote about their proudest achievement from 5th grade and their goals for middle school. Holding the stoles while we talked about graduation made the conversation feel real and exciting. Students were eager to share their goals and support each other as they thought about the next chapter in their education.\r\nAs we move forward, our next steps include continuing these reflection activities and preparing short speeches and letters to their future selves about the kind of middle school students they hope to become. The stoles will be worn during our promotion ceremony, where students will celebrate their achievements with their families and our school community.\r\nYour support has helped create a meaningful and memorable experience for my students as they prepare to take their next step.
