My Project

My students love the opportunity to display their creativity when working. There are so many different ways that students can get their hands and minds busy in Earth and Environmental Science, but early in the semester, we keep things simple.

This project gives them a way to show their creativity, work in groups, and demonstrate their understanding of complex principles we've discussed in class.

Students will use poster board, styrofoam balls, various color sources, and more to model our solar system. These complex ideas will help them throughout the semester as we transition to topics much closer to home.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
