Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is to help fund a calming space for students in the Bronx, NY. This project will benefit students in temporary housing to have a calming office that they can relax and freely express themselves This office is a space where I conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students that are in temporary housing situations. I work with students to help build their social skills, support their social emotional needs, as well as work with students in a therapeutic capacity. This space with chairs and an activity table will help many students who have experienced trauma and need an environment that is calming and serene. We appreciate any contributions you can donate to this project!
