My Project

My students are curious, creative, funny, and full of potential. What I love most about them is that they are still discovering who they are and what they can become. As a CTE teacher, I want my classroom to be a place where students do more than hear about future careers. I want them to experience, create, build, investigate, solve problems, and discover abilities they may not have realized they had.

STEM engineering and robotics activities, animation and green-screen production, crime-solving investigations, science resources, projectors, and collaborative games will introduce students to careers in technology, engineering, media, science, design, communications, and many other fields.

Instead of simply reading about these careers, students will have opportunities to learn by doing.

Just as important, I want to help prepare the whole child. The calming corner materials, flexible seating, fidgets, emotion activities, and sensory supports will give students healthy ways to regulate emotions, refocus, communicate, and return to learning. My goal is for students to leave my classroom knowing more than a subject. I want them to leave with greater confidence, stronger social-emotional skills, and the belief that their future contains possibilities they can actually reach.
