My Project

The students at my school have been immersed in the zones of regulation. We use the concept in daily conversations and practices school-wide.

Having reminders of the zones of regulation and calming tools will further solidify the concept within the minds of our students.

Many of our students are concrete thinkers and seeing these items in the calming spaces of our school will help students identify how they are feeling and then apply strategies they have learned to help keep them or get them back into the green zone.

Many of the items in our calming areas require batteries, and we always tie everything we do back to the brain and brain science, so these items will fully immerse our students into our SEL curriculum.
