Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Why is social emotional learning (SEL) beneficial for students? Social emotional learning for students can be life changing. Learning how to regulate our emotions can help prevent devastation later in our lives.

SEL is beneficial to both children and adults, increasing self-awareness, academic achievement, and positive behaviors.

Studies show that students who participated in SEL programs saw an 11 percentile increase in their overall grades and better attendance. SEL helps kids acquire the knowledge, attitude, and skills needed to understand and manage emotions, develop empathy for others, set and accomplish goals, make responsible decisions, and maintain healthy relationships.

Please help our 4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10 year olds learn about SEL.
