My Project

My students love my snack bin, and they love special treats for the holidays.

This project will bring in more snacks for our snack bin and some treats for some Winter Holiday fun.

Our snack bin keeps them going for the year and helps them concentrate in math. I like to keep snacks that are nutritious and less messy, so we don't have sticky desks. The kids know they are to clean up and throw all trash away, and it helps them become better citizens outside of the classroom as well. All of these little skills help them become better. The candy is for our winter holiday treat bags and our class store, where they can purchase little items for Mrs. F. bucks. My students love my snack bin and my Fitzhugh store. Our class store allows them to learn about financial literacy, and they save and spend their bucks like real money. This is real-world application at its finest in my math classroom. They learn about opportunity cost and what they may choose to do with their class economy. They love the 3d printed animals and the candy in my class store. We'll use the bags and pens in our holiday bag with a special game I will get for them. The books are for our school's book vending machine, as this is the new book that came out.
