My Students

The students at FES are absolutely amazing! They love to learn new things and are excited to be at school everyday. With the social and economic struggles that many of the students face on a daily basis, the school is their safe haven where they can make friends, strengthen their character, and relax and be a kid!

Building a classroom culture where all students are loved and inspired is critical.

My students have become a close family, who support each other and work so well together. Even as they have struggled through Covid, they love to learn. It has been a challenge catching up from last year, but everyday they are working hard towards their goals. As the year continues, we are working on showing our creativity and art skills to show what we know.

My Project

Often, my students ask for an extra snack or something to tide them over if they miss breakfast. Sometimes they are just having a rough moment, and a simple snack provides them with the energy needed to get back on track. My co-teacher and I do our best to support this, but we need your help to keep it going! Together we teach forty-two, amazing students, who at times need a little extra love. Being able to provide a snack when needed shows the students that they are valued and supported when they need it the most.
