My Students

I work with students who try their best but are at risk of not graduating from high school. Some of the students suffer from anxiety and have poor attendance.

Providing food helps to comfort students and encourages students to attend.

My Project

So many times students enter my doors hungry. A simple and quick snack helps to ease their hunger and helps them to feel more comfortable.

Once given a healthy snack students are more relaxed and are able to work.

I believe that providing food encourages students to attend on a regular basis - it also helps them to focus more on the tasks at hand.

From completing Geometry and Algebra problems to reading great novels - a little bit of nourishment helps to encourage students to work. It helps them to enjoy school.
