We are lucky to be given the use of the machines and dies, now all we need is the paper! This project will help high school students who are at-risk and benefit from authentic learning tasks. These students will create a catalogue of available dies, explain it to all teachers within the district, create projects to demonstrate it to the teachers within the district, and create forms to be used so that teachers can order what they would like to be cut. Students pursuing future teaching careers and studying child development will have access to the dies / machines / and paper to use in their classroom projects and assignment. It will benefit students with special needs in the job training program. These students will cut out what is ordered and deliver to the different teachers district wide.
We have wonderful dies for projects in science, math, English, and more - we just need the paper. This project has the potential to benefit almost every student in the district. Teachers at all levels will have access to the catalogue and can order what they would like cut for students in their classroom.
