My Students

I teach in a Title I, public elementary school with about 500 students. Many students are eager to learn and interact daily at school; however, COVID-19 has put a stop to our engagement with students. It is my hope that through DonorsChoose, we can offer as much personal attention to each child's needs as possible.

My students are energetic, eager to learn, and sponges for knowledge.

They come from a variety of backgrounds including low income to lower middle class. There are a numerous of couple and single parent households as well as blended families.

As we planned and prepared to return to school in 2021, it would be useful to have cleaning supplies for our room. As the computer lab teacher, I will have students cycling in and out of my room, so keeping a clean environment will be important to all of our safety. Due to the inability to open the windows in my room, I plan to keep my students safe as possible.

My Project

Hungry, Hungry, Hungry..Our children need snacks for our our after school program. Students are hungry for an afterschool snack. Our program furnishes a very light snack but the students are here until 6:30 pm. Some times the students are just hungry and thirsty.

Hungry students do not focus-we are asking for chips, nabs, and water to make it through the evening.

We are a second family to our students. We provide love, homework assistance, and we need to add some snacks. The snacks will keep our bellies full till the next day.
