This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello! I teach 24 students in a title one school that is going through budget cuts. I am a first grade teacher.

Everyday I have students who don’t have a snack for snack time.

I often bring snacks I have bought for my own child at home, to school, so my students have food and something to eat during our snack time.

I also need disinfecting wipes so I can clean the classroom daily, to keep everyone healthy and in school. My students deserve this. They need a clean space to work and a snack to fill their belly each day.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
