Wow!! Thank you so very very much for the GENEROUS donation to purchase a NEW rug for my 1st grade classroom. As you know from my project info, my rug was from my SECOND year teaching in 2012, making it 13 years old. It was in ROUGH shape. It had a funny smell, stains, and just was yuck. It was time for a new one, for sure. \r\nI wish you could have heard the excitement from my students when I opened the email saying that my project was funded. They were THRILLED!! After that day, they asked every single day if the rug was coming. I was even out one day and had a sub and I heard they told the sub over and over again about the new rug and how excited they were. \r\nWhen it arrived, they of course, were super happy and couldn't wait to sit on it. They wouldn't even pay attention to me when I was talking because they would rub the soft new rug with their hands. It was so precious. \r\nIn addition to helping me, you also helped the daycare program at our school. As I had mentioned in my project info, we are a Title One school, so we do not have extra money for things. The daycare program called Kids' Town was in need of a rug, so they were able to get my old one and they were so happy about that. \r\nYour generosity definitely made an impact at Milaca Elementary. I will never forget the feeling I got when I saw that my project was funded. They want you to know that you help make their year extra special!\r\nMy students saw first hand the results of some of last years projects and were hoping that they would get to do them as well. With your help I will have the materials needed so that they can culminate their year with these projects too! Thank you so much for your generosity!
