My Project

My 8th grade students are from upcountry Maui which spans a wide geographical range. Some students live a couple minutes away from school while others live one hour away.

More than 55% of our student population come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and receive free or reduced-priced lunch.

My students and classroom could use playing cards, board games, printer toner, and two paper organizers. This semester our advisory classes are having team board game competitions. We are in need of more cards and board games. Our classroom could use a new teacher chair for our inclusion co-teacher and the new trendy erasable pens that are super awesome. The balloons and straws will be for our STEM challenge of making balloon cars. The snacks will be for students during our state testing days. The toner is for our classroom printer to print our math worksheets so they can learn the 8th grade math standards.
