Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is composed of mostly ENL students. My students come from low-income families. These families have come to America from other countries hoping to make better lives for their children. These parents want only the best for their children.

I am one of two teachers in an ICT classroom.

Many of my students have special needs, and many have trouble focusing and processing information. Most students have difficulty reading and writing and have difficulty with eye-hand coordination. My job is to help them get through these difficulties and help them perform to their highest ability. My children are eager to learn; they are excited to come to school every day, and they are full of hope for the future.

My Project

My students come from low income homes. Many of them are having difficulty finding money for food. Some parents have lost their jobs during Covid and struggle daily to put food on the table.y For some students their meals at school are the only ones they eat during the day.

With this project my students will have snacks to share with their families at home.

The students and their families will be so happy to receive all of this food to help them through these difficult times. It will be such an enormous help for them.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
