With the Cricut machine, I was able to design personalized social-emotional tools, reading and writing resources, and inspiring bulletin board displays that made our learning environment feel vibrant, supportive, and student-centered. One of the most meaningful projects we completed was creating personalized affirmation cards for each student. I used the Cricut to cut colorful shapes and letters, and students chose their own affirmations.\r\n\r\nBeyond SEL, the Cricut allowed me to create visual aids for reading strategies, writing prompts, and mini anchor charts that supported both English and Spanish instruction. I also used it to design bulletin board titles and decorative elements that highlighted student work and celebrated classroom goals. Students were always eager to see what new display or resource would appear next! Later in the year, my students contributed ideas for visual reminders of our classroom norms, empathy strategies, and book recommendations; which I then designed and created using the Cricut. Their voices and ideas shaped the content, while the Cricut brought those ideas to life in a colorful and engaging way. I used it to preserve bilingual vocabulary cards, student-created posters, math reference sheets, and social-emotional check-in charts. These durable, reusable materials allowed students to engage more actively in lessons and take ownership of their learning. It also helped me protect student work and proudly display their efforts throughout the classroom. \r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable reactions came from a who lit up when she saw her writing laminated and hung by our classroom library. Your thoughtful contributions of trophies, medals, and certificates gave my 3rd-grade students the recognition they truly deserved. When the students walked into the classroom and saw the trophies displayed, their eyes lit up with surprise and pride. Many of them whispered, \"¿Eso es para nosotros?\" It was a moment I'll never forget. During our end-of-year celebration, we honored every child's growth in reading, math, writing, and character. Seeing their names on the awards made them feel seen and valued—some even held their trophies up high and said they'd show them to their families right away.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment was when a student who had struggled with self-confidence, received the \"Most Improved Reader\" trophy. He smiled from ear to ear and said, \"I didn't think I could win anything.\" These awards did more than celebrate academic progress—they motivated students to keep striving. Now, as we move into the new school year, many have already set goals and told me they want to earn another medal next time. Your generous donation of color ink made it possible to bring our compassion lessons to life in a vibrant and engaging way for my 3rd-grade dual language students. With the ability to print in color, I created bilingual story cards, emotion charts, vocabulary visuals, and reflection prompts that immediately caught students' attention and deepened their engagement. One of the most exciting pieces was a bilingual affirmation board I made with a mirror in the middle. Surrounding the mirror were colorful affirmations in English and Spanish, such as \"I am capable\" / \"Soy capaz\" and \"I am loved\" / \"Soy amado/a.\" Students took turns standing in front of the mirror and reading the affirmations aloud, often cheering each other on. It became a joyful and meaningful classroom ritual.\r\n\r\nMany of my students are visual learners, and your donation helped me create resources that supported both their social-emotional development and bilingual language growth. For example, a student who is usually shy about speaking, began confidently using our printed \"Feelings Chart\" to name and express her emotions—something she rarely did before. She even began resolving small conflicts with phrases. Thanks to the color ink you provided, compassion wasn't just something we talked about—it became something students could see, touch, and practice every day.
