This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

"Enriching Horizons: Nourishing Minds in a Diverse Jungle" is a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting over 200 students, spanning grades 6 to 8, encompassing English Language Learners, general education, special education, and those from low-income families in a high-crime area. What truly captivates me about my students is their unwavering resilience and insatiable curiosity, despite confronting daily adversities. Each meticulously selected resource, from Tropicana 100% Orange Juice to Slim Jim Snack Sized Original Smoked Snack Stick, plays a crucial role in nurturing both their minds and bodies. With an added focus on providing students with access to food they can take home, our project ensures that no child goes hungry.

Our overarching goal is to cultivate a supportive environment wherein every student feels cherished and empowered to thrive, respecting their individual journeys and boundless potential.

Despite grappling with diverse backgrounds and formidable challenges, our students exemplify determination and zest for learning, motivating us to furnish them with the indispensable support they require to flourish.
