My Students

SSIS is the only Title I, tuition-free, K-5, public, charter school in Sarasota, Florida, where eighty-nine percent of our students are living at or below the poverty line. My students are wonderful, bright, and full of life! They work hard every day to learn, grow and achieve their goals.

My Project

I am requesting snack items for my students. We all know how we perform better when our stomachs are full! I want to be able to provide snacks for my students, especially those who do not bring one to school for reasons like lack of money, or time to get any.

All students should have the opportunity to have an afternoon snack after a long day at school.

It is my goal to be able to provide that to my students. I want to give them items such as chips, snack bars, popcorn, etc.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
