Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A busy school can feel overwhelming for students who are sensitive to noise. Noise-reducing earmuffs will help students manage loud environments so they can participate more comfortably in classroom activities and school routines.

These supplies will help me meet students where they are and support their next steps in learning.

Thank you for helping me create a classroom where students feel understood, encouraged, and proud of their accomplishments! Velcro dots will help me create and maintain reusable visual schedules, first/then boards, and other hands-on supports. These tools make expectations easier to understand and help students follow routines with greater independence. Thermal labels will help me label materials and organize classroom resources so they are easier to find and use.

The emergency vehicle toys will provide a motivating choice for students who love fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars. They can also create opportunities to practice sharing, taking turns, and communicating during structured play. The individually wrapped Starburst candies will offer another small reward option, when appropriate for students’ dietary needs and classroom guidelines, to recognize effort and progress toward individual goals.
