The Iris 6-Drawer Storage Cart is now the center of our classroom reward system, with each drawer representing a different level of positive behavior rewards. Students can earn points throughout the day for showing kindness, responsibility, and focus, then choose a prize or snack from the corresponding drawer. The mesh zipper pouches keep our small supplies tidy, and the variety of snacks—from Goldfish and granola bars to Slim Jims and fruit snacks serve as both motivation and nourishment during small group work. These additions have made our routines smoother and more joyful, giving students a sense of ownership and pride.\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes arrived, my students were beyond excited. They eagerly helped unpack the items and couldn't believe how many treats and supplies we had received. The moment we set up the reward drawers, they started working hard to earn their first prizes! Their smiles and enthusiasm reminded me how much small incentives can make a big difference in helping them stay engaged and positive throughout the day.","fullyFundedDate":1759522260651,"projectUrl":"project/organized-energized-tools-and-treats/9520444/","projectTitle":"Organized & Energized: Tools and Treats for Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp790648_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1625775466724","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/dezavalaspedrodriguez"},{"teacherId":790648,"projectId":9477382,"letterContent":"Our classroom is incredibly grateful for these wonderful new resources! The Post-it Wall Easel Pads and Mr. Sketch scented markers have transformed our lessons into colorful, engaging experiences that keep my students focused and excited to participate. We've been using the laminating pouches and folders to create individualized learning materials and visual supports that last all year, while the electric hole punch and cardstock paper help us organize student work and portfolios with ease. The painter's tape has even been used to create learning stations around the room, making transitions smoother and keeping materials accessible for everyone.\r\nWe also received some sensory and fine motor replacements that couldn't have come at a better time! The Kinetic Sand, farm sensory bin, and fidget sensory stones have become classroom favorites, helping my students with sensory needs regulate their emotions, strengthen their fine motor skills, and stay calm during transitions. These tools have made a remarkable difference in our daily routines, supporting both academic learning and emotional growth. They loved how their solution of switching seats to avoid bumping into elbows was the the solution the teacher went with as well. It's now in our calm down corner and I caught a few of my students rereading it while they handled some big emotions.\r\n\r\n\"Just Ask\" is a book we are working on, page by page, as they are introduced to students who are different than them, or in some cases, not so different. It is really helping with the amount of empathy they have for each others and their peers in other classes. The connections they have made to some of the characters, such as the little girl who had diabetes, still makes me tear up a little.\r\n\r\nI cannot wait to see what other connections they make and how they will continue to grow thanks to these books.","fullyFundedDate":1756174309944,"projectUrl":"project/social-emotional-books-anchor-charts/9370964/","projectTitle":"Social Emotional Books & Anchor Charts","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allison","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9566061_orig.jpg?crop=566,566,x16,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1717961729237","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9566061"},{"teacherId":790648,"projectId":9269348,"letterContent":"When our new crayons, markers, pencils, pencil grips, and writing paper arrived, my students' faces lit up with excitement. Many of them eagerly dug into the materials right away, testing out the bright colors and proudly showing each other their creations. One of my students who often struggles with handwriting immediately asked for a pencil grip, and for the first time in a while, I saw him smiling while writing his name. It was a small but powerful moment that showed how these tools are giving my students the confidence to practice skills that once felt frustrating.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the materials, we've been able to incorporate them into both fine motor skill practice and creative projects. For example, during a recent writing activity, students used the crayons and markers to illustrate their sentences. This helped them stay engaged longer, and they were motivated to add more detail to their work because they had tools that made writing and drawing fun. The new pencils and paper are also being used in daily handwriting practice, and the grips provide support for students who need extra help developing proper hand positioning.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my students will continue using these resources as we build stamina in writing and expand their creativity in storytelling and drawing. These materials aren't just supplies they are building blocks for independence, self-expression, and confidence. Your generosity has made a real difference in our classroom, and I cannot thank you enough for giving my students the chance to grow with tools that meet their unique needs.","fullyFundedDate":1752525509029,"projectUrl":"project/pencils-markers-and-magic/9269348/","projectTitle":"Pencils, Markers, and Magic!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp790648_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1625775466724","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/dezavalaspedrodriguez"},{"teacherId":790648,"projectId":9181170,"letterContent":"Thanks to your incredible generosity, our classroom is filled with smiles, full bellies, and extra bursts of energy to fuel our learning! The snacks you provided — from Goldfish crackers and Nutri-Grain bars to Skinny Pop, fruit gummies, and pretzels — have made a real difference for my students each day.\r\n\r\nWhen the snack boxes first arrived, my students' eyes lit up with excitement! We took time to open each box together, and they immediately began picking their favorite treats. It felt like a mini celebration in our classroom — students were laughing, talking about their favorite flavors, and even practicing manners by offering to share with one another. One of my students said, \"Now I can think better because my tummy isn't growling!\" — a powerful reminder of how much these small things mean.\r\n\r\nWe use the snacks in many ways: to fuel our morning work, as a brain break boost, and to support students who might not have had breakfast or need a little extra support to stay focused throughout the day. They've also become a motivator during small group lessons; students know they can earn a snack reward for their hard work, and it keeps the positive momentum going.\r\n\r\nAs we move into the next part of our school year, these snacks will continue to play an important role in helping students stay energized during reading groups, math centers, and project-based learning activities.
