My Project

I teach first grade at a Title I school in Baltimore City, and my students are curious, energetic, and full of potential. There’s something truly special about working with young learners at this stage—seeing their eyes light up when they get hands-on materials, and watching them take ownership of their learning from the very beginning of the year.

With these materials, I will be able to set up structured learning stations, keep resources accessible and organized, and create a bright, inviting classroom where students can focus, collaborate, and thrive.

There is nothing more powerful than watching a first grader’s confidence grow the moment they realize, “I can do this.” This project will directly support that by helping me build organized, engaging small-group learning spaces. I love my students and I am so honored to work in such an impactful profession and creating a classroom where they feel excited and capable every day is my top priority.
