Help me give my students Tonie boxes to help them read and learn with audiobooks!

My Project

Tonie Boxes are a great way to motivate reluctant readers. They also support students who need another outlet to practice reading. They provide real, live read-alouds for students who need support and motivate others to read, but in a different way.

Having Tonies in the classroom will be another way to get students motivated to read and learn.

Tonies can be used by themselves or with the actual book that the character portrays. Tonies are not just for students in K-2. They also make Tonie readers for upper-grade students.

The goal for the boxes in my classroom is to use them as an extension of my lessons and in small groups. Students can listen and follow along with a book in a small group. Students would then be able to discuss what they've heard and read. These are the perfect supports for ELL and EC students, as well as for Social Emotional Learning.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
