Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a School of Excellence. We are a dynamic community of learners empowering one another to become resilient, inquiring, confident members of the global society.
The mission of my school is to create a safe and nurturing learning environment that celebrates diversity.
We are a community that holds ourselves to high expectations in maintaining a culture of belonging, academic excellence, and innovation. Our Core Values are respect, teamwork, excellence, perseverance, personal responsibility, problem solving, 0ptimism, and scholarship.
My students come from a lower socioeconomic urban neighborhood of Philadelphia with 95% low-income households and 100% of our students receiving free lunch. This is a Title I school.
My Project
The resources I am asking for are a mini skeleton, plastic skull, anatomy coloring book and green slime is to help teach my 9 health classes about the skeleton system.
The slime will be used with the skull to teach a little Grossology about how the nose functions .
The skull can also be used to teach about the eyes and the teeth as well as the brain.
The coloring book with markers is a great activity for my students to learn the names of the many different parts of the body.
