Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school strives to develop the leader in all students. Every child has the abilities, talents, curiosity, and strengths to make a contribution to their communities and the world that they live in. The students in my class strive to develop and be successful in their learning endeavors. They are an excellent group that cares for one another and provides each other with the support needed to achieve the learning goals for the year.
My class consists of 30 English Language learners.
We are a Title 1 school located in a small agricultural town in Central California. Many of the students in my class need additional support and learning resources to reach 4th grade standards. Furthermore, many of the students do not have access to learning materials or support at home. There is a lot of work to be done but the students in my class have shown great promise towards developing the skills needed close the gaps in their learning. Please support our classroom and students with their learning!
My Project
This will better allow students to access their teacher and for me to provide better instruction. The students have Microsoft Chromebooks and I have an apple computer. The different operating systems have been creating a lot of issues as I have needed to troubleshoot problems with the students. This purchase will allow us to have similar devices which will help to solve a lot of the computer issues that we are having in the classroom.
Remote Learning is difficult and if the teacher and students have similar devices it will resolve many of the additional headaches that have been helping as we are navigating our new learning environment.
