The headphones and microphone will give the students in my classroom the ability to communicate and speak to their computers. Many of the students need additional help with their basic reading skills. The headphones and microphones will allow students to practice their language skills in programs like Lexia, which allow them to get the repeated practice that helps them to develop their reading skills. I want all students to be able to read and write at a 4th grade level. Furthermore, the microphone allows my lower students to dictate their responses into the computer. This allows all the students in my classroom to participate regardless of reading or writing levels. Overall, these headphones and microphones will allow students to be individually directed in their learning and be able to interact with the different educational programs that are used in my classroom.
