My Students

My students are excited kindergarteners with great attendance in the midst of this pandemic. Many of my students did not attend a preschool program, but they are willing to try new things. Our school is located in an urban center and all of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.

My Project

These materials will aid the kindergartners with high-frequency word recognition and automaticity needed for oral reading fluency. The sturdy sight word cards and journals will assist in the home school connection while providing engaging and age-appropriate activities for small group instruction and personalized learning.

Many of my students' families want to continue their students' learning at home.

These sight word rings will allow my families to engage with their student's learning in a simple yet effective way. The home-school partnership that will result from these materials will be remembered by my families, my students, and myself.
