My project needs 1 complete set of sight words learning centers and 1 complete set of sight word stamp and write activities.

I teach first grade in a low income community in Atlanta, GA. I just finished my first year in the classroom and had a great experience making significant gains with my children! I want to duplicate my success next year however I desperately need help in gaining resources to help my students learn their site words!!!

I believe the best way to jump start my students learning is through site words. I want my students to learn 220 sight words by the end of the year. Everyday my students write their words in their morning folders, but they quickly get tired and bored of the same sight word procedures. I want to make the process of learning these words more exciting and innovative!

You would be providing my classroom with a fabulous resource and helping my students learn how to read. By funding this proposal you will help me differentiate my sight word instruction and make it fun again for my students to continue learning! I want to make sight word instruction a daily part of my classroom learning community and having these resources would help tremendously. If my students have a basic sight word reading level they can then read more difficult texts and begin to explore more types of literature. By providing us with their sight word centers my students would be work in small groups or individually on learning words on their level!

You will make it possible for my students to learn their sight words, and in return learn how to read!
