Showing Knowledge Through Creativity in Chemistry Needs Your support!

Help me give my students the opportunity to show their knowledge through creativity as we observe, analyze, and conclude various chemistry experiments. Some of the labs have components that are online that need headphones!

My Project

I teach high school chemistry in York, PA. In every experiment the students must observe, analyze, collect data, and conclude their findings. This often has components of color because who doesn't love to see chemistry in color!? The students describe both in writing and in drawings their observations and data (graphs and charts). However, we lack the tools to make color happen.

We don't stop with colors, students create materials and collect data that sometimes need to be kept in the classroom to continue exploring over several days but need a place to put it.

Storing items are easier if you have the proper tools!

Lastly, sharing and comparing data is how we learn from others! We do this in various ways, one of which is a gallery walk. Large white boards allow us to see a snapshot of each outcome and provide a place to put our sticky note thoughts and ideas. Without reliable whiteboard markers participation is more challenging and limited.

Help make the classroom more colorful, (hoarding... but not actually), and engaging for all!
