Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The District that my students attend is 81.5 Hispanic, 9.4 African American, and 4.5% White with majority of the student body at 86.4% being in the socioeconomically disadvantaged category.

For many of my band and orchestra students, it is a rare privilege to gain proficiency in performing arts.

As a music teacher, I get to see my students' talents every day. Giving them an opportunity to showcase their talents to their community will give them experience in the performing and visual arts and open more gateways to different styles and mediums in the arts.

This talent show will act as a confidence booster for my students and a catalyst for their success in art and music. To make this talent show a reality for the community; popcorn, popcorn bags, otter pops, and a backdrop are needed.
